Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.9 StoreFront Install

Citrix StoreFront is the web component that is part of the XenApp/XenDesktop infrastructure. It is a required component used to launch desktops and/or applications via a web browser or directly through the Citrix Receiver. The following article goes through the steps to installing this piece of software on a Windows server.

Insert the Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.9 installation media into the CD-ROM drive. Once the Autorun starts, click on Start next to either XenApp or XenDesktop depending upon what has been purchased or is going to be evaluated. Ultimately it does not matter, which one you choose as the same software is installed and it's the license that dictates what features you have available.

Click Citrix Storefront in the Extend Deployment section.

Accept the Software License Agreement and click Next.

StoreFront should be the only component in the list and click Next.

To allow the set-up to automatically configure the Windows Firewall leave Automatically selected. Otherwise select Manually to do it via group policy or manually with the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security tool.
